As most of you know, from a very recent blog, Mukisa Godfrey graduated from Hair Stylist school about a month ago. Since then, he's been very busy and away from his home in Nonsana, helping with the Katekwan church dedication and the WYM crusade in Bugiri, Uganda. You may also recall that WYM paid for Mukisa's school fees, bought him a bicycle for transportation, got him a place to live and supplied food for him during this time. It was an intense course that required him to be there seven days a week and even late evenings. Our goal was to provide Mukisa with the education and tools he needed to provide for himself in the future, part of our "hand-up" program, and we achieved that goal. Mukisa is the pianist for the WYM ministry team and a very vital part of our ministry.
Now that Mukisa has achieved his education goal, he is now ready to launch his career and he needs our help! We would like to help Mukisa set up a Hair Stylist Salon and he has found a business that we can buy at an amazingly low price. The person selling has decided to do something else so they're selling the business with all the equipment (see pictures below). The equipment does not include the clippers or the television. He will need to buy a trimmer and eventually a television, security system and a few other things to make the business appealing as well as secure when he's away traveling with our team. The pictures below are of the JP salon which is for sale. Of course, we want that sign to change from JP to Mukisa Godfrey.
What is needed for him to get started is $950 to buy the business, $405 for six months' rent (required by landlord and common there), $70 for a pair of professional clippers and $70 to get the signage changed to his name.
Can you all please help us help Mukisa get started? Both WYM and Mukisa would appreciate it very much. If we each give a little bit, we can make this happen! You can give through PayPal account whollyoursministries@gmail.com, our website wholly-yours.com, CashApp $WYM59 or send a check to 483 Oak Hill St. NE, Abingdon, Virginia, 24210. If there are other methods you use to get funds to us, let us know and we'll make sure we work with you to receive those.
God bless each one of you for making a difference in Mukisa's life. He is a blessing to our ministry and by helping him, you're helping us!
