Yes, and off we go into the wild blue yonder! That's right, Lord willing, Stephanie and I will be flying to Mumias Kenya May16th (tomorrow) and will be there until June 14th. Please keep us in your prayers and check our many FB posts during our journey on the Wholly Yours Ministries FB page and also my personal FB page, Paul William Havens. If you don't currently follow us on the Wholly Yours Ministries FB page, please do, I think most have already been sent an invite.
Before we go though, I want to update you on some things that have been happening with Wholly Yours Ministries. Thanks to your support, Wholly Yours Ministries was able to provide matching funds to install concrete flooring at Springs of Grace Church in Mombasa and House of Winners Worship Center in Ogalo (Mumias Kenya). The entire Springs of Grace floor was installed and half of the floor at House of Winners Ogalo was installed, plus tile was installed on the stage at Ogalo. Only half the floor at Ogalo needed concrete because we built bigger. When we expanded the building, doubling its size, we didn't have money for the floor. Now it's complete and everyone is happy. We still need to plaster it inside and out but, one step at a time. We're grateful to have come this far. Putting concrete on the floor was very important because it was very dusty, even after adding water to it. The children especially were getting very dirty during service, and this didn't sit well with our first-time visitors. We're grateful to our donors that this situation has been rectified!
In addition to the flooring, the fpfk House of Winners Ogalo (a church plant between Wholly Yours Ministries and Director/Pastor Athanus Atimbo), hosted a very successful Youth Conference. This was a joint outreach between "House of Winners" and "Spreading Christ Ministries of Uganda". Many youths from various denominations attended and many lives were changed due to this outreach.
Please keep us in your prayers during our trip and please continue donating during our trip. Even when we're traveling, the needs never stop, and we never stop moving forward with the Lord's work. Our current needs are money to plaster the interior and exterior of House of Winners - Ogalo, speakers and equipment to be able to effectively hold outdoor evangelism activities.
