136+ Souls Saved - Budalang'i

We are so very excited to announce that there were 136 confirmed decisions to follow Jesus in our Wholly Yours Ministries Budalang'i Kenya outreach. That number is much higher because many who raised their hands during the invitation never came forward. Those that came forward went to the tent for counseling and their contact information was taken so the follow up teams could meet with each one of them the next day. The outreach lasted four days starting with a teaching seminar under the big tent from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., then an outdoor crusade from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m., followed by a revival under the big tent from 8:30 -10:30 p.m. A very long day for sure.

From morning to late evening, we (everyone involved in the crusade) were telling people about Jesus and people responded. We were told by several that of all the crusades that came to Budalang'i, this was the best ever. The crowds grew every day and on the final day there had to be close to one thousand attendees. The tent holds upwards of three hundred and it stayed packed out. That is an amazing number considering Budalang'i is a small rural town and most had to walk to get there, some from very long distances.

The theme of the event was "Unity". We were indeed blessed with unity as many from different denominations came. Our speakers and Praise and Worship Leaders were incredible and came from several cities in Kenya and many from other nations. I'm not going to name them because there were so many and I'm sure I'd leave someone out. One that I will mention, was our special singer, a young 16 year old lad from Tanzania named Yohana Antony. He is quite popular in these parts and has many songs on YouTube, be sure to check him out.

Lynn played her new guitar and shared "Revival Fire Fall" from her album, and the fire indeed fell. The entire audience was singing with us at the end. Athanus, Patrick and I were her backup singers, singing the chorus. It was powerful and we sang two of the four days. In addition, I bought a shofar made in Israel and blew it before the crusade, an amazing experience because you could feel the presence of God.

I'm not going to try to explain this event because it really can't be explained. There's a saying in Swahili that means, the things or doings of God, "mambo ya Mungu". Surely this was mambo ya Mungu. God was in this from the start and He sent us an incredible sign, a miracle. The first day of the crusade the skies grew dark, the wind started blowing, and there was a huge storm brewing. It rains almost every evening here and it's usually a torrential rain that lasts anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour or so. When that started happening, we started praying, as it had already started sprinkling. God heard our prayer and it completely stopped. A beautiful bright rainbow then appeared behind the singers on the stage and it stayed there for what seemed like ten to fifteen minutes. Another rainbow appeared at the end of the first day of the crusade, in the same location, and stayed a long time. Truly, "Mambo ya Mungu".

Enjoy the pics and thanks to all that helped make this happen. We have another crusade this week in Ogalo (Mumias Kenya), and this is in conjunction with the "House of Winners Worship Center - Ogalo. We'll be coming home physically exhausted, mentally exhausted and financially exhausted but we wouldn't trade one minute of this for all the world's money 😊
